Hart to deliver for Caningeraba State School
Burleigh MP Michael Hart has promised students at Caningeraba State School in Burleigh Waters to upgrade facilities at the popular primary school if he is re-elected as part of an LNP government.
“The Palaszczuk Labor Government has ignored the Gold Coast and Gold Coast schools for three years, only claiming credit for projects started under an LNP Government,” Mr. Hart said.
“Our students deserve better. Only the LNP has a plan that will deliver the facilities our schools such as Caningeraba need, including upgrades to the school’s hall to support its conversion to a multi-purpose facility.”
Mr. Hart said an LNP government would provide $400,000 in matched funding to facilitate the upgrade and repurposing of the hall, a project designed meet both emerging school needs as well as create local jobs.
Caningeraba State School has one of the largest primary school enrolments on the Gold Coast and currently provides comprehensive support to families through school initiatives, external agencies and local community volunteers.
“I have been working with School Principal Ray McConnell to secure funding for the Caningeraba project, and if the LNP is elected I commit to it going ahead,” said Mr. Hart.
“Only the LNP can and will deliver support for Queensland and Burleigh families.”
